United States-based singer Rihanna has blamed voter apathy for President Donald Trump's second-term victory.

DAILY POST recalls that Trump won his second term against Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in 2024 after losing his initial re-election bid to Democratic nominee Joe Biden in 2020.

During a recent in-depth conversation with journalist Charles M. Blow, Joy Reid, former MSNBC host, stated that Americans deserved the financial controversies surrounding Trump's administration for voting for him to win a second term.

Reacting to a viral clip of the interview on Instagram, Rihanna argued that those who didn't vote at all are to be blamed for Trump's second-term victory and the economic hardship brought by his administration.

"Believe it or not, those who didn’t vote at all also did this!" the singer stated.

Despite residing in the U.S., Rihanna is not an American citizen and is ineligible to vote in the U.S. elections.
