Vice President Kashim Shettima has slammed the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, saying he has nothing to offer Nigerians except statistics.

The Vice President made the statement while speaking at an event in Abuja on Monday.

He, however, said he respects Peter Obi for having the courage to say he is not going to restore the petrol subsidy.

According to him, the Tinubu administration is making tough but necessary decisions to revive the economy, while Peter Obi only talks without solutions.

The Vice President said Obi is good at quoting statistics but has no concrete plan to fix Nigeria.

“I respect Peter Obi for having the courage to say he’s not going to restore the petrol subsidy, but beyond spouting some statistics, Mr Peter Obi has absolutely nothing to offer," he said.

The statement has generated reactions on social media with Obidients defending Peter Obi and attacking Shettima.
